JCC: Reducing cooperative establishment fees
JCC BOD decided to reduce the fees for establishing cooperative societies by a 50 % to 75 %; in order to encourage all segments of society of all ages to engage in cooperative work which helps improving the economic and social levels of cooperative members and local communities, besides spreading the cooperative culture among citizens.
Eng. Khaled Al-Hanifat, JCC Chair of BOD, approved new instructions for establishing new cooperatives in 2024, to reducing the registration fees (agricultural, women’s, and youth cooperatives) to 45 JD instead of 185 JD, and the fees for housing cooperatives to 255 dinars instead of 510 dinars, and 180 dinars instead of 360 dinars for economic cooperatives, multi-purpose, women, agricultural, mutual benefit.
Under the new instructions for establishing cooperatives, Instructions No. (1) of the Cooperative System No. (36) of 2016, Instructions No. (1) of 2018 for implementing the provisions of the Cooperative Societies System, and Instructions for Agricultural Societies No. (1) of 2022 have been cancelled.
The Board of Directors also approved the mandatory training of newly established cooperatives by adopting cooperative programs, manage the cooperative, organizing general assembly meetings and starting national committee to celebrate the International Year of Cooperatives 2025.
