JCC and Giovanni Paolo II Foundation to support cooperatives
Shalabi along with representatives of the Giovanni Paolo II Foundation to implement projects in Irbid, Jerash, Mafraq, Karak funded by the Italian Agency for Development. JCC role in consolidating cooperatives to establish regional and qualitative unions in accordance with the Cooperative Law and the regulations of cooperative associations and unions was discussed with the Regional Project Manager, Luca Rossi, and Project Manager, Valentina DeCaro. Both sides agreed on joint coordination to enhance mechanisms for finding opportunities for cooperation, and to maintain communication in a manner that serves cooperatives in the governorates targeted by the Italian Giovanni Paolo II Foundation. Shalabi discussed during the meeting to serve the cooperative sector and enhance the opportunities for cooperatives to obtain support to establish development and production projects, expressing at the same time JCC’s willingness to cooperate and provide the information it requests about cooperative societies.
